In this post I’m sharing some of the key drop moments I got from my time with the Modern Wealthy crew.
Modern Wealthy – Top Key Drop Moments For Me – Become A Producer
Well firstly before I joined Stuart’s program I had been an affiliate before but I had struggled quite a lot. I was reluctant to join yet another program because I had already jumped from one program to another in an attempt to make money on the internet.
However something in the advert intrigued me and I found myself starting again. I emptied my “cup” as the saying goes and tried to learn from scratch.
Stuart’s program wasn’t like previous programs I had bought where nobody was actually there for you. Modern Wealthy is attached to a much more thorough program called Launch You which has more help and support. You can connect with mentors who are there to help you which is one of the best ways to succeed online.
One of the best pieces of advice I got from Stuart was to stop consuming and become a producer. I had jumped from course to course, consuming knowledge from videos and articles. However, I didn’t put that knowledge into action because I would jump onto another course. This is a common mistake affiliates make, I learned. It’s getting caught up in learning mode, as if learning alone was going to drive your sales forwards. So number one is become a producer instead of a consumer. A producer of information, email broadcasts, videos, adverts or blog posts.
Modern Wealthy – Key Drop Moments – Value First, Sell Later
The second key-drop moment was similar and it was about providing value. When I initially became an affiliate I was out for the money. That’s all I cared about because I was broke! So my emails were encouraging people to buy, buy and buy some more! Sadly it didn’t work. I couldn’t understand why!
Stuart explained this enough times that I eventually took it onboard to become a provider of value first, and sell later (if it’s the right product for your customer).
I changed my approach from sending clickable links to providing real value through my emails. I offered free ebooks and downloads which would genuinely help my subscribers with the problems they were faced with.
SO number 2 is become a value provider – don’t try and “get”. Instead give first and your subscribers will come to actively look for your future emails. That’s when they come to know, like and trust you. When this happens, they are much more likely to buy from you, especially if you’ve already provided a tonne of value.
Key Drop Moments Modern Wealthy – Email List
Despite having been an affiliate previously before purchasing Modern Wealthy, I had not built an email list. I had previously been trying (and failing) to sell from each website I had built. I built many websites and attempted to get them free traffic from Google and other search engines. This is no mean feat and I personally wouldn’t recommend this approach anymore. But I learned the hard way that this is a long journey.
I did get sales from Google organic search results, but they were sporadic and unreliable.
Building an email list was probably the single best thing I learned from this course. An email list allows you to build relationships with people by providing value. When you do this successfully, people will start to trust you. Trust is huge online because everyone is trying to sell to you. So if you give first and build trust over the longer term, you stand out.
An email list allows you to collect subscribers over a longer time period, build relationships and promote products once you have built some trust. Most people don’t buy directly from a website and often will never return unless you capture their email address.
Membership Products Not One-Off Sales
Here’s another gem from Stuart’s course – sell memberships not one-off products. I used to sell single items from Amazon at tiny commissions. I put in a huge amount of work only to get a tiny commission. With digital products, and particularly memberships products, you can make regular commissions from each customer.
Month in month out you can receive regular commissions, and they soon add up.
Of course not all membership products are the same. High value memberships such as email autoresponders and training products offer huge value. Business tools are vital to run online businesses. I had a problem believing in some of the earlier products I was trying to sell. So as a result I struggled to make sales. But when your product is vital for an online business you don’t have this issue.
Aligning Your Values – Intrinsic Motivation
This leads us nicely on to the concept of aligning your values. If you don’t align your values in what you are building as an online business, you’re bound to struggle.
This was one of my earliest problems as an affiliate. I wasn’t aligned with any product I tried to sell. I didn’t believe in the products, I just wanted the money! But that’s a problem because you cannot simply throw up a website and expect to make sales. You need to keep at it for some time to break through. There’s a reason many affiliates quit and this is one of them.
When there’s no alignment in what you’re trying to do, the money is not enough of a motivator for most people to keep going past the hurdles. When you align your values, and genuinely believe in what you’re doing, and the products you’re selling, there’s a lot more power behind it. You’re much more likely to overcome obstacles because of your intrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation is much more powerful than external motivation because it comes from within. Actions are driven for personal satisfaction and interest rather than external rewards such as money.
High Ticket – Higher Value Affiliate Products
The Modern Wealthy is a very in-depth entry level course to learn more about marketing products and what that entails. Attached to this course is a more in-depth dive for more serious entrepreneurs. This is called Launch You where you can access in-depth AI based questions and answers, build sales funnels and access more digital resources as well as mentors and coaches.
Affiliates and entrepreneurs struggle a lot because of mindset issues, rather than technical problems. So there is plenty of scope here for investigating your intrinsic motivation and finding the right path which aligns with your values. This is often overlooked in many online courses which claim to teach you the ability to earn online.
You can become an affiliate for Launch You and earn higher level commissions. This, I learned was a major secret of some of the most successful online entrepreneurs. Not only did they build lists and promote subscription digital products; but they also had high ticket items up their sleeves too. This makes an online business much more viable in today’s age – given the cost of online advertising. High ticket product sales have been a genuine game-changer for me and it’s thanks to Modern Wealthy and Stuart that I learned about them.
