Even the stunt work, which was picking up meant that I had to commute for hours to get to the jobs.
I couldn’t imagine a better job than the stunt work, but work was unstable and sporadic. I became trapped by the big pay days and couldn’t find anything which paid so well. This problem is common. The “golden handcuffs” of a well paid job traps people for years and they will sacrifice their health and well-being for the financial stability.
Affiliate marketing gave me a way out. I was willing to make much less on my own terms as an affiliate than I could make as a stuntman. After all, if I could earn even half as much from my laptop, without a long distance commutes, that would be great, I thought.

A dream job such as that of being a stuntman is hard to beat. In my 20’s it was a dream come true to work on movies and in television. But by the time I was in my 40’s the glossy veneer had worn off. My relationships had suffered and I was tired of the long commutes and the sporadic nature of work had left me feeling uncertain of my finances and demoralised.
I couldn’t foresee being happy in a 9 to 5 job of any kind and affiliate marketing was the answer. As I became better at it, the sales would drop in ever more frequently. My decisions were no longer based on financial necessity. I found myself making better choices and becoming happier.
With affiliate marketing you can work how you like. Choose your hours and learn around an existing employment. It gives you complete flexibility. If you commit to the journey you can ultimately replace your existing income, live anywhere and plan your day as you choose. This just isn’t possible in most careers and jobs. The job always has to come before friends and family in most cases.
