Where can I post my blog to get more traffic? One of the simplest solutions to getting more traffic is of course to pay for it! Even a tiny daily budget can bring more traffic to your blog with virtually zero effort! A simple strategy is to set up a dynamic advert with Google Ads, or Microsoft’s (formally Bing’s) equivalent.
The video above explains how to do this for a tiny daily budget of just £1 a day! Dynamic adverts allow you to copy and paste your blog website’s url directly into the ad creator. Google then scans your website for content and creates a dynamic advert based on your blog posts. The advert title directs visitors to the appropriate content and so this can be a very effective way of getting targeted visitors pretty instantly.
The best thing about paid traffic is that you can easily increase it. Simply increase your marketing budget. Other paid marketing platforms include Facebook, YouTube, Bing (Microsoft Ads), and many others.
Where Can I Post My Blog To Get More Traffic? Social Media Of Course!
Social media is of course another place you can post your blog content to get more visitors to your site. How well this works will of course depend on your content, social media presence and connections (people who will see it). So it can be a good idea to also spend some time interacting on social media for this to work well. If you have little time for social media, it can still have an effect on both your direct traffic and your SEO (search engine optimisation). Social media presence is of course a ranking factor for SEO, so the more links you have from your social media accounts, the better!
You can also automate the process of posting your content on social media. Use a plugin called Revive Old Posts. This plugin lets you automatically syndicate old and new content to social media platforms of your choice. The free version is limited to two social media accounts. You can also connect your Twitter account to another free plugin called IfThatThenThis.com. This allows free syndication to social media platforms based on an automated tweet from your using Revive Old Posts. See article: Auto Post to social media from WordPress.
Where Can I Post My Blog To Get More Traffic? SEO & Content
Search engine optimisation (SEO) is another strategy used by bloggers. By creating a lot of content, bloggers can, over time, get found on Google, Bing, Yahoo, Duckduckgo.com and other search engines. Even if you don’t get a top ranking on Google, you can still get found from the other search engines for many of your keywords.
To get your content found using SEO it’s a good idea to use an SEO plugin when writing your blog posts. I use Yoast SEO to help me write SEO friendly content which has more chance of ranking on the search engine results pages (SERPS).
Of course many of the most competitive keyword phrases are far too competitive to rank for. To get round this problem you can find long tail keywords with low SEO difficulty. These are keywords which have much less competition in the search engine rankings. They typically contain three or more keywords and have fewer competing websites for them. As such you’re in with a much better chance of ranking for them, particularly if you create some high quality content.
With high quality content on your website, people will naturally link to it over time (if they can find it). This builds a nice, natural looking link profile which Google loves and is great for your SEO.
Where Can I Post My Blog To Get More Traffic? Quora.com
Quora.com is a question and answer website which attracts a lot of visitors. You can benefit from Quora as a blogger if you answer questions relevant to your content. Then, post your content link in your answer. Of course Quora.com is aware of this practice and they don’t like spammers! But if you post some real value on their site in your answers, and your link is relevant, they will allow this practice. You just need to be careful not to just paste you content without offering some value first. Otherwise your posts will be removed.
See affiliate marketing on Quora.com for more on this strategy.
GuestPosting
Guest posting is still a great way to build links back to your blog from other websites in your subject area/niche. Not every blogger offers guest posting though. To find guest posting opportunities you can use Google and do a basic phrase search (using quotes), using the following in conjunction with your main keyword:
- “Guest post”
- “write for us”
- “guest article”
- “guest post opportunities”
- “this is a guest post by”
- “contributing writer”
- “want to write for”
- “submit blog post”
- “contribute to our site”
- “guest column”
- “suggest a post”
- “submit an article”
- “contributor guidelines”
- “become guest writer”
- “submit news”
- “guest poster wanted”
- “accepting guest posts”
- “writers wanted”
- “become an author”
- “become a contributor”
Once you find a suitable blog/website which accepts guest posts, you can apply to write for them. If your post is acceptable you can also link back to your own blog. This is helpful for direct traffic, especially if the blog is popular, but also for SEO. This can take some time and effort of course. But if you want to outsource the job to someone else you can use the services below (click image).
Blog Commenting
Blog commenting is another way you can increase the visibility of your blog, get more traffic and improve your SEO score. By finding other high visibility blogs and websites within your niche, you can comment on posts and leave a link back to your own website/blog.
You really want to find those websites which allow you to post your comment and also leave a link to your website. One plugin which does this is Commentluv. So you can find websites with this plugin using the following Google search:
“your niche” “commentluv”.
Here’s a useful blog post which details more about blog commenting. And here’s a YouTube video I found on the strategy I used.
