If you’re wondering how to create a subscription website, look no further! A subscription based service is a great way to monetise a website and get paid regularly. Don’t worry if you don’t have any of your own products, or don’t even have a service to offer!
You can use existing affiliate products which offer recurring commissions. Recurring commission affiliate programs are the best to use for a regular income online. No website, no problem. Just purchase a turnkey affiliate website to get started. Checkout the video below to see how easy you can be up and running.
You’ll also be able to set up an email marketing service through this program, so you can build a list of subscribers. More on this later.
How To Create A Subscription Website – Already Got A Service?
If you already have a service to offer, you can create a website using WordPress. Simply purchase a domain name and hosting provider. See this article for more details.
Once you have built your website, you can purchase any number of plugins to help you manage your subscriptions and members. See 10 best membership plugins by Blogging Wizard.
Alternatively, you can do it for free using Paypal! If you’re just after payment buttons on your site, you can create them through Paypal and they’ll let you set up a button on your site. Login to your Paypal account and go to https://www.paypal.com/buttons/. Then choose the subscription payment button and Paypal will give you some code. Put in on your site and hey-presto, you have a subscription website!
How To Create A Subscription Website Service Through Email Marketing
From any website, you can offer your visitors a freebie “giveaway” product in exchange for their email address. This is known as a lead magnet. I have a few ebooks on my site as lead magnets and they help me to build my email list. An email list is a pretty important tool for helping you to build a subscription service customer base.
On a website, it can be difficult to convey your message to those who don’t understand your service. Particularly if you offer affiliate products and courses which are more difficult to grasp. Physical products are pretty straight forward, but conveying the value in recurring income products can be more tricky.
If this is the case, an email marketing service can magnify your uptake of sales. It’s also a great way to extend the period of time a customer is exposed to your product/s. On a website, you only get 10 minutes at the most to make a sale. But when someone subscribes to your offer via email, you can dramatically extend this time period.
Sometimes I make sales from my emails years after someone has subscribed. This just doesn’t happen on a website. There’s millions of websites out there and the chances of someone returning to yours years later is pretty low! But get them on your email list and it’s different!
Choose Subcription Affiliate Programs
If you don’t have any products or services of your own, you can use subscription affiliate programs. A good subscription program will let you earn from customers for years to come. Ideally your website needs to attract potential customers. Get them on your email list and promote products to your subscribers.
Here’s some of the subscription affiliate programs you can use to monetise your website:
- The Six Figure Mentors – Digital Online Business Mentorship Program.
- Aweber – For email marketing
- Leadpages- For custom landing pages
- Get Response – Email marketing
- Elegant Themes – WordPress website themes
- Social Pilot – Social Media Tool
- SEM Rush – SEO tool
- Snip.ly – Conversion/opt-in tool
- HostGator – Hosting provider
- Shopify – Online Store Builder
Build A Website From Scratch – Traffic
To build a website you only need to purchase a domain name and hosting package. Point your domain name to the servers on your hosting package and install a WordPress site on your hosting. See this article for a step by step of this process.
Once you’ve created a website, remember, there’s no guarantee of getting traffic to it without marketing! To get people to your site, you’ll need to either create content or use paid marketing (or both).
This article is an example of content marketing. You can read more about the tactic I use in my article affiliate loophole. With a range of high ticket products in your sales funnel, and subscription products, you can more easily afford paid marketing too.
See The SFM Digital Business system for more on product ranges and income streams from affiliate marketing.
